David Reichel is a co-founder of the Tahoe Backcountry Alliance, and, after a decade plus of guiding, David has mostly forgotten the bad habits of a feral youth spent annoying fish, climbing rotten rock and discovering pristine swaths of poison oak. Upon release from four years of UC imposed sea level living David migrated to higher elevations and has been working and playing in Sierra and Cascades ever since. David guides for Shasta Mountain Guides and is the Wilderness Education Coordinator at Lake Tahoe Community College.
